Through informal discussion and sharing, we become more familiar with the scriptures and try to apply them to our daily living. We seek an understanding of the deeper meaning of God's word and how this pertains to the world around us.  The group also provides a source of Christian fellowship for men in the parish to encourage spiritual growth and support each other in our journey of faith. Each week one chapter of Scripture is read and then discussed, often reflecting the backgrounds and experiences of members.

"I have been a member since the Men's Bible Study was established in 1983. Members of the group have always respected where each other is at in our journey of faith. The different perspectives of group members stemming from a wide variety of life experiences has brought a real richness in how we see God speaking to us in His word. Hearing how other men live out their faith has inspired me to be more serious about mine. The camaraderie, support, nurturing, affirmation, inspiration and respect I have gotten from this group is priceless."

A topic of meditation is provided, followed by 20 minutes of meditation and then discussion.  Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at 7:00 PM in the Library.  All men are welcome.

A group for women ages 18 and up who wish to grow in their faith by a study of the Scriptures and occasionally, other spiritual sources.   New "sisters" are very welcome for the weekly gathering. This year's study will be "An Overview of the New Testament" by Fr. Felix Just, S.J. Please bring a bible. Other study materials will be provided.

Free babysitting will be available for infants and pre-school children of the prticipants in the Youth Ministry Room 2.  Scripture Sisters has a wonderful babysitter who has been sitting for our group since September. We are open to new members both young and young-at-heart.  You are welcome to join us as we meet until June.  We are studying all the books of the New Testament, so each book is a study in itself - so, you don't need to "catch up" to join.

All women of the parish are invited to attend this group which meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 PM. This year we begin on Monday, January 15 to study No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk through Christ's Passion. Will You Follow Jesus to Calvary? No Greater Love is a biblical pilgrimage that reveals Christ’s amazing love for us. We will be guided through the last hours of Christ’s life and will walk step-by-step with Jesus from the garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. Every step of the way, Old Testament prophecies, messianic expectations, biblical symbolism, and historical context shed light on the mystery of Christ’s suffering and death. Experience a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s immeasurable and unconditional love for you—grow closer to Jesus than you ever have before.
