St. Bede’s has always sought to reach out to those who need help planning a funeral liturgy when a loved one dies. Fr. Tim Plavac, our pastor meets with the family and coordinates with the funeral director any special circumstances. Interested individuals can pre-arrange their own services if desired. There will be verbal and/or written contact with the immediate family during the first year of bereavement. An All Souls Memorial Mass is celebrated in early November, remembering those who have departed during the past year.

Our Parish offers several types of support groups for those in need:

GriefShare:  The GriefShare program is a Christian-based nine-week support program whose goal is to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to those who are dealing with the death of a loved one. St. Bede’s offers this program periodically through the year. 

Grief Support:  The Grief Support group meets the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 pm in the Youth Ministry Room. We offer a comfortable, private, and encouraging environment where you are free to explore your grief and all you are feeling. Meetings are open discussion, surrounding a monthly topic or whatever is on your heart. 

Counseling is also available upon request.
