Helping Hands has four ministries that help families in North Mentor with various needs.
Our Pantry is partnered with the Cleveland Food Bank and offers qualifying households a selection of food under the federal poverty guidelines. Pantry hours are Mondays from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am to Noon. During this health crisis, Pantry hours are Saturdays ONLY by reservation. Clients should call 440-257-5544 x119 to make a reservation before coming to the Pantry. Food or money donations are most welcome. Contact: MartyCrews@yahoo.com.
Help Line - fields calls from prospective clients Monday thru Friday. Potential clients are in need of housing and other financial assistance, such as an eviction and shut off notices. Office also guides callers to other resources that may be available. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Our goal is to help our clients become self-sustaining. Contact: John.Misch@gmail.com.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Baskets are packed and distributed each year. Times and dates are posted in the Sunday Bulletin. Volunteers are always welcome.
Angel Tree - Each year during Advent, Christmas trees are set up in the Gathering Space of the church and decorated with Special Cards that contain a request for each one of our clients: a gift card for food or a toy for a child or an overnight stay for a child at Project Hope for the Homeless. Other Cards contain requests for socks that are distributed to Project Hope, Salvation Army, Sub-Zero Mission (veterans) and St. Mary's Painesville.
